Our story

The Consulate General of the Republic of Kenya in Dubai and the Northern Emirates was established in 2010, extending Kenya’s diplomatic footprint into one of the most strategically important regions for the Kenyan diaspora and Kenya–UAE bilateral relations.

The Consulate is accredited to Dubai and the five other Northern Emirates — Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah — making it the closest official representation of Kenya for tens of thousands of Kenyans living and working across this part of the UAE.

The Consulate operates under the State Department for Foreign Affairs Strategic Plan (2023–2027) within the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

Vision

An exemplary Consulate General for the prosperity of Kenya in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
