The Consulate attests documents issued in Kenya for use in the United Arab Emirates, and confirms UAE documents for use in Kenya, as the final step of the legalization chain. What we attest. Educational certificates (after Ministry of Education and MFA Kenya endorsements), birth and marriage certificates, commercial documents (after Chamber of Commerce and MFA Kenya endorsements), powers of attorney, and other official documents. Process. Documents must first be authenticated in Kenya by the issuing authority and the State Department for Foreign Affairs before being presented to the Consulate for attestation. Bring with you. The original document, a clear photocopy, the applicable fee, and a valid photo ID.

Process

Step 1: Authentication in Kenya

The original document must first be authenticated by the issuing authority in Kenya and then by the State Department for Foreign Affairs (MFA Kenya).

Step 2: Submission to the Consulate

Bring the original document, a clear photocopy, valid identification, and the applicable fee to the Consulate during operating hours.

Step 3: Attestation by the Consulate

The Consulate confirms the prior MFA Kenya stamp and adds the consular attestation. Same-day service in most cases.
