Kenya Business Council in Dubai formally recognised by Dubai Chambers of Commerce

The Kenya Consulate General of the Republic of Kenya in Dubai and the Northern Emirates officially opened its doors, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship between Kenya and the United Arab Emirates and the deepening connection with the over 50,000 Kenyans who call the UAE home.

The Consulate’s jurisdiction covers all seven emirates — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al-Quwain, Ras Al-Khaimah and Fujairah — bringing the full suite of consular services closer to the community.

A long-awaited milestone

The new Consulate is part of the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs’ deliberate expansion of Kenya’s representation in regions hosting significant diaspora populations and strategic trade partners. The Gulf region is a priority market under the Government’s economic diplomacy agenda.

Services available at the Consulate include document attestation and authentication, passport application, renewal and replacement, ID card application and replacement, birth and death registration, Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) information and emergency assistance to Kenyan nationals. The Consulate also serves as the official channel for trade enquiries, investor facilitation and diaspora engagement activities.

Today marks the beginning of a more accessible, more responsive consular presence for every Kenyan in the UAE.
