All foreign nationals — with the exception of citizens from the East African Community partner states — require an approved ETA before travelling to Kenya. The ETA is applied for and issued online; there is no physical visa endorsement in the passport.
What you need to apply
A valid passport with at least six (6) months of remaining validity, a recent passport-style photograph, return-flight itinerary and a confirmed accommodation booking in Kenya. The fee is paid online during the application.
For UAE residents travelling to Kenya
UAE residents (Kenyan or otherwise) follow the same ETA process. Plan ahead during peak travel periods (December–January, June–August) when processing volumes are higher.
